I am pleased to announce we will be hosting a BAFTA Los Angeles seminar/discussion, The Changing Face of Romantic Comedy, presented by their Learning & Events Committee.

Join director DONALD PETRIE (Mystic Pizza, Miss Congeniality, Lucky You,) writer SCOTT NEUSTATDER (500 Days of Sumer, Friends with Benefits) and Craig Mazan (Hangover Part 2, Scary Movie 3&4.) for a lively discussion on how, why and if the classic formula of the romantic comedy is changing.

RSVP to: http://lafsromcom.eventbrite.com/

This even will be open to students, staff and guests.

Are they getting smarter? Raunchier? More whimsical and unpredictable? Has the 'bro-mance' genre overwhelmed the more traditional romance stories at the box office? Our discussion will debate these questions and more, as well as examine trends and offer insight into what will last, and what will continue to change in this genre.

Moderated by BAFTA Los Angeles Member Mary Anne McGarry.
